📺Because the animation was TV programmes ...
blood was painted in black to avoid being too violent/bloody.

💗InuYasah was at first a manga (graphic novel) created by Rumiko Takahashi.
Adapted to screenplay by a big team of script writers, mostly guys.
About 10% of the all TV episodes are writen by female scripts writers.
TV animation were produced by Sunrise in Japan.
